Minister of Music, Organist, & Choirmaster

The purpose of the Minister of Music, Organist, and Choirmaster position is to assist the Rector and Parish
in worshiping God in Christ Jesus through the gift of music. The Minister of Music will help the parish
develop, implement, and share a passion in liturgical music and other musical programs related to the
Parish, including our Friends of Music and the Arts Concert Series. This ¾ time position will be salaried.

Compensation: Salary, $40,000; Health, Dental, Retirement, Life/Disability; Up to 20 days of
vacation/year (including 4 Sundays) plus federal holidays (schedule permitting), and Continuing
Education (eligible after 6 months).

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in music.
Mastery of the organ and experience conducting choirs while playing.
Experienced and demonstrated skillset in hymn playing with a congregation.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Willing to take Safe Church training as required by The Diocese of Virginia and a background check.
