Assistant Rector for Children, Youth, and Families

- Salary: $65,000 – $80,000

St. Andrew’s is a place for all to worship, serve, and belong, in Burke, Virginia (Suburb of Washington DC). As a community centered on the Baptismal Covenant, we seek to follow Jesus through continued intergenerational growth.
Our leadership and parish are cultivating our community especially as it grows with children, youth, and families. We invite our new Assistant Rector from any stage of their career to join us.
The Qualified Candidate will:
- Bring energy and passion for children, youth, and family ministry.
- Encourage lay leadership as a collaborative minister
- Envision and build programs for the future from our current systems.
- Demonstrate gifts in preaching to all ages. Incorporate youth and children meaningfully into liturgy.
- Support the Rector and church leadership with sacramental needs of a growing parish.
- Approach all areas of ministry pastorally.
- Communicate effectively in person and other means.
